High Flying Inter Milan Can Get European Campaign Back on Track

Inter Milan have made a fantastic start to life in Serie A this season, and currently sit just behind Juventus who are at the top of the table. However, they haven’t managed to replicate that in the Champions League so far, and they come into game week three with just one point on the board which came from a disappointing draw against Slavia Prague in their first game. Their last resulted in defeat against Barcelona, and they will come into this game against Borussia Dortmund desperate to get back on track to give themselves their first win of the group stage.

Opponents Dortmund currently sit on top of the group table after two games. They began with a draw against Barcelona and they followed that up with a win over Slavia Prague. Many see this group as one that Barcelona will win, and then either Dortmund or Inter will take the second place behind them. If you think of it that way, a win here for Dortmund would put them six points clear of Inter at the half way stage, a big lead. However, a win for Inter and this group turns on its head, they would pull themselves level with Dortmund and give us a great final three games to look forward to.

Looking at what these two have done domestically, Inter Milan come here in better form. They have won every game in Serie A so far with the exception of defeat against league leaders Juventus, this puts them in second place right now. Dortmund haven’t lost many, but have been picking up draws and prior to a win at the weekend they had drawn their last three games.

A big game in Group F and one that could give Borussia Dortmund a huge lead over Inter with just three games to go. However, this is massive for Inter too and they come here in better form, playing well in Serie A.

They know the importance of this game and even at this early stage, you could almost call it a must win fixture for them. We think winning is something they will do, and we are backing them to achieve that on Wednesday night.
