Leicester Fancied to Continue Good Run on Friday

We have a Premier League game on Friday night this weekend and it sees Leicester, who have made a very good start to the season, travelling down south to take on Southampton. This is a chance for Leicester to leapfrog Manchester City and go above them, with City playing later in the weekend, while Southampton will have their eye on the relegation zone, they could find themselves in it if results don’t go their way.

There has been a lot to like about how Leicester have played so far this season. They have lost just two games from their opening nine, and are conceding at a rate less than one goal per game. They look set to have a very good season and if things carry on this way then not only should they be aiming for a top six spot, but breaking into the top four is a genuine aim for them.

For Southampton, things haven’t been so good. They are outside of the relegation zone by one place and only goal difference is keeping them there after just two wins from nine to start the season. They haven’t played too well recently either, and come here on a run of four games without a win which includes three defeats in that period. A point away to Wolves last weekend will be seen as a positive result but they need to find a way to pick up three points if they want to come clear of trouble.

Southampton vs Leicester Betting Tips

A game between two teams at opposite ends of the table and currently having opposite fortunes. Leicester have made a very good start and will be thrilled with their current league position. They have only lost two races so far, and they came at Anfield and Old Trafford, this is an easier task than those and I am backing The Foxes to come out on top.

Southampton looked like a potential relegation candidate at the start of the season and so far we have seen nothing to suggest otherwise. Unless they improve this looks like being a long, tough season for The Saints.
