Sheffield Wednesday Offer Big League Cup Value

The League Cup is a competition that divides opinion as far as punters go. We have seen many big name sides take an early exit from the competition, but the competition can offer value to those who are prepared to take a chance on someone at a bigger price. That is exactly what I am going to do on Tuesday, with Sheffield Wednesday appearing to offer great value against Everton at Hillsborough.

Everton have been very poor so far this season, and they were beaten at home by Sheffield United, the Premier League team in the city, on Saturday, can Wednesday follow in their footsteps. There is no doubt this will be tough for The Owls as they are reaching up to play a team in a higher division, but they are a huge price and deserve plenty of attention.

Everton come here on the back of two defeat and they find themselves down in 14th position in the standings. This is certainly far below where they expect to be, with some tipping them to finish in the top six at the start of the season.

Sheffield Wednesday were impressive two weeks ago when beating Huddersfield and they backed that up on Saturday with a draw at home to promotion chasing Fulham.

There is a division between these two teams, which of course needs factoring in but this is often a competition where teams will play weakened teams, especially from those in the Premier League. With Everton starting poorly, they will not want to risk too much here, and would prefer to keep players fit and healthy for their Premier League games that are upcoming.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Everton Betting Tips

A game that I think will be a lot more even than the betting suggests. The betting gives Everton a large upper hand, but I don’t think that is the case, they are struggling for form and could well rest a few here to try and get out of their Premier League poor run.

That gives Sheffield Wednesday a chance to upset the odds, something I really think they have a chance of doing. They are a huge price to win here, and worth chancing on Tuesday night in the League Cup.
