Portugal Face Netherlands In UEFA Nations League Final
We’re into the full flow of international football for the summer, and that’s an exciting position for a lot of fans to be in. Sure, some are going to miss seeing their team on a week to week basis, but this also gives us a chance to get a taste of last summer’s World Cup once again. Obviously, it’s not quite going to be on the same kind of scale which is to be expected,

Relegated Germans Face The Netherlands
If nothing else over the course of the last week in the world of football, at least we’ve been able to see that sometimes, if you put some effort in, international football can be a lot of fun outside of the big tournaments. That’s not a sentiment that many fans will echo but such is the nature of the beautiful game, and such is the nature of the fans that watch it. Regardless of whether or not you agree with our assessment we’re still confident in saying that the Nations League has been more of a fan favourite than anyone could’ve anticipated,
The Swiss Tackle The Belgians
The international break doesn’t normally throw up so many consistently good games to watch, but that’s the beauty of the UEFA Nations League in a nutshell. Some of European football’s biggest and best will be competing for the right to not only win the competition, but also move on to UEFA Euro 2020. There are plenty of reasons to be confused about it and there are even more reasons to miss the domestic game, but if you give it a chance,
Italy & Portugal Collide Once Again
Here we are again – stuck in the middle of an international break with nowhere to turn. Ironically enough it seems like more fans are starting to talk about things like the UEFA Nations League more so than they have done in the past, but it’s taken a long, long time for us to get to this point. Well, not that long, but you can understand where we’re coming from. There are still things about the league that we’d change and alter,
The Spanish Attempt To Run Through The English
The UEFA Nations League is in full swing, and that means that the games warranting the international break are coming thick and fast. Some of them may seem a little bit familiar to you, and that’s probably because the reverse fixture happened a couple weeks ago – but we don’t want to focus all too much on that. Instead, we want to look ahead to the future, and one of the games that we’re really looking forward to is Spain vs England as the Spanish attempt to keep pushing forward in search of reclaiming the European Championship that they lost just two years ago.

Old Rivals Netherlands & Germany Meet Again
The UEFA Nations League is a weird double edged sword that has left many fans wondering whether or not they actually care as much about international football as they thought they did. Sure, the World Cup and the European Championships are great and all, but the rest of the time it seems like more and more people are gravitating towards the idea that domestic football is the only way to go. We can’t say that we blame them,

England Aim For Revenge Against Croatia
International football is back in our lives and while the World Cup has been and gone, and while the European Championships are still just under two years away, it feels like there’s a bit more excitement about the upcoming set of fixtures that there usually would be at this point in the season. Don’t get us wrong, most fans would still much rather see some domestic football this weekend, but given that this is a mandatory requirement it makes sense to just sit back and enjoy watching some of the world’s best players in a different kind of environment.

Poland & Portugal Battle In Nations League
Domestic football has been put on pause for a few weeks, as is usually the case at this time of year. Instead, we’ll be enjoying some international football, some of which will be great, and some of which will not. The parade of friendlies tend to leave a sour taste in most fans’ mouths, mainly because there just doesn’t really seem to be any kind of meaning behind the games. Sure, we can get some great moments and goals out of them,

Portugal & Italy Attempt To Live Up To Expectations
Football is a funny game, and just when we think we’ve got all of the answers, the questions change. There are no two better examples of that, arguably, than the Premier League and the World Cup. We’ve spoken about the first pretty regularly, but since the WC came to an end earlier this summer, the focus has shifted pretty quickly back to domestic football. While we can completely understand why, and while we’d probably agree with that in earnest,

The World Champions Tackle The Dutch
Football moves at a million miles an hour, and it’s been that case for decades now. A few months ago the French were celebrating becoming world champions for the second time in their history, but the focus has shifted as they look towards UEFA Euro 2020. Winning that tournament and cementing themselves as the best team in international football is going to be vitally important for their progression, and as bizarre as it sounds, the time for celebrating is already over.
England Hoping to Bring World Cup Momentum to the Nations League
England take on Spain in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday and they will be looking to carry the momentum forward from their World Cup campaign this summer. England gripped the nation with their performances in Russia, and they gave their fans something to believe in and something to get excited about. The same cannot be said for Spain, who struggled in the group stages and then were knocked out in the first knockout round against the hosts.

Italians Out to Make Amends for World Cup Absence
The 2018 World Cup was missing a few big nations but perhaps none as big as Italy. The next 12 months are important for the Italians as they look to prove that they are a force to be reckoned with, and they can compete with the best teams around. The UEFA Nations League begins this week, and Italy have a relatively comfortable start at home to Poland, a game they should be winning and will no doubt be trying their best to win after being out of the limelight this summer.
