We have a Premier League game on Friday night this weekend and it sees Leicester, who have made a very good start to the season, travelling down south to take on Southampton. This is a chance for Leicester to leapfrog Manchester City and go above them, with City playing later in the weekend, while Southampton will have their eye on the relegation zone, they could find themselves in it if results don’t go their way.

Southampton Fancied to Come Out on Top in South Coast Derby
The EFL Cup isn’t always the easiest competition to bet on with question marks hanging over what kind of teams we will actually see on the field. However, one thing that helps punters is when the games mean something a little more than normal, and that is certainly the case here. Premier League club Southampton travel to Portsmouth for their meeting on Tuesday night, a journey that isn’t too far, and the fact that this is the South Coast Derby is going to ensure that both teams take it far more seriously than they normally would take an EFL Cup game.

Southampton and Bournemouth to Play Out Friday Night Draw
The first game of the weekend in the Premier League takes place on Friday night, with a game on the south coast of England. Southampton host Bournemouth and both teams should feel good about what they have done recently going into this one. They are both performing well, have picked up early wins and if this is a taste of what is to come for the remainder of the season then I am sure both sets of fans will be happy.

Can Improving Southampton Stop Liverpool on Friday Night?
A big game in the Premier League at both the top and bottom of the table on Friday night when Southampton host Liverpool. They have won three of their last four games and if their form continues to be anywhere near as good as that then they are going to survive this season.

Desperate Southampton Face Manchester United
The Premier League returns to our screens once again this weekend, following a set of midweek European fixtures that certainly gave us a lot to talk about. Will Man City’s Surge Continue Against Southampton?
The Premier League is about to kick into high gear as we look ahead to the remainder of the games this season, with the winter months providing us with more football than many would argue that we need. Still, there’s no reason to look down on having more football to watch, especially given that we’ve got some of the best teams in all of Europe to enjoy. Some would argue with that point but Liverpool reaching the Champions League Final should tell you all you need to know about the direction that things are going in,

Southampton & Brighton Have A Point To Prove
The Premier League returned with a vengeance yesterday after the international break, and if you caught a glimpse of Match of the Day then you’ll understand what we’re talking about.
