Wales Hoping to Pull Off Big European Qualifying Win in Slovakia

A break from club football over this weekend gives us two game rounds for the Euro 2020 Qualifying groups and a huge opportunity for Wales to really lay down their qualifying hopes.

The Welsh come into their next games four points off the top of the lead, although they do have a game in hand on everyone else. Their games take place on Thursday and Sunday and they come against the top two teams in the group, an away trip to Slovakia followed by a home game against Croatia. They can’t get ahead of themselves though, and need to be right at their best if they are to get anything from their first game of this period.

They travel to Slovakia who are currently second in the table, three points ahead of Wales. A win for the Welsh would draw them level on points, and with Wales having a game in hand too, that would leave them feeling pretty good about their chances at that stage.

When the pair met in Wales it was the Welsh that came out on top, winning the game 1-0 after an early start shocked the Slovakians and they couldn’t get back into things. An equally quick start is what Wales need here, and an early goal like that last meeting would be perfect for them.

Slovakia are certainly a team that can cause problems themselves, but as far as quality goes they are on a similar level to Wales, with a couple of big key names surrounded by the rest of the team. This game could well be decided by those key players, and which team gets the most from their stars.

Slovakia vs Wales Betting Tips

A huge game in this group, and one that will have implications on the final standings, so both teams will be desperate for the win. A victory would pull Wales level with Slovakia and with the game in hand they have, give them the upper hand.

This should be close, but in terms of value it is certainly with Wales here, they are a big price to win this and certainly worth chancing in the game.
