Table Toppers West Brom Fancied to Win at Boro
The Championship returns this weekend and on Saturday afternoon the current league leaders West Brom will head to Middlesbrough hoping to keep their place at the top. The Baggies have played very well so far, and actually they have only lost one of their 11 games so far this season. They lost out in the playoffs last season and have done well to bounce back, another bid for promotion looks likely once more.

Aston Villa to Finish West Brom Off at The Hawthornes
Aston Villa are within touching distance of reaching their second Championship playoff final in two years. They suffered heartbreak last season at the hands of Fulham, but have every chance of going one better this time around. They have started well, and hold a 2-1 lead from the first leg of their tie with West Brom. A win or a draw at The Hawthornes and they are through to the final, and that is the bare minimum for this club and its expectant fans.

West Brom to Take Advantage of Poor Birmingham Form
The Championship is back this weekend and teams are returning for the final run of games, which are hugely important for some. Teams have just eight games to go, with many still in a position where these games could make or break their season, and for West Brom that is exactly the case right now.
The Baggies are too far back to challenge for automatic promotion, but far enough ahead of the rest in the playoffs that they don’t really need to worry about what it happening behind them.

Can Leeds Fight Back or Are Cracks Beginning to Appear?
Leeds United are one of three teams that are separated by just two points at the top of the Championship. They are in third right now, and a win on Friday night will take them back to the top of the league before Norwich and Sheffield United play over the weekend. However, they have not been playing anywhere near their best recently, and are lucky to have just two wins from their last five games.

Sheffield United to Keep Pressure on Top Two with Friday Night Win
Sheffield United host West Brom on Friday night in what looks to be the game of the week in the Championship. These two teams are both in the playoff positions right now, United are in 3rd while West Brom are in 5th. There is just one point separating all four clubs who are currently in the playoffs, things are very tight at the top of this league. With a whole host of good clubs waiting in the wings to jump into the playoffs,

Aston Villa a Big Price to Continue Impressive Form on Friday
Aston Villa face West Brom on Friday night in a game that is a local derby, and one that puts together two ex Premier League clubs. These two are desperate to get back into the Premier League, Villa have now been in the Championship a while, but this is the first season for West Brom back in the second tier.
There is no doubt that both teams have the quality to succeed this season,

West Brom to Pile More Misery on Bottom Club Ipswich
West Brom come back from the international break looking to continue their push for promotion back into the Premier League, and they begin that with a trip to face Ipswich on Friday night. Ipswich are currently bottom of the entire Championship, and even if they win on Friday night and other results go their way, there is no chance of them moving from that position this weekend, the gap is already too big for them to overcome.

West Brom a Solid Bet for Derby Victory over Birmingham
West Brom were fancied to bounce straight back up into the Premier League at the first time of asking by many people and I think after the transfer window now they have had a chance to settle in the Championship, we will begin to see why. The Baggies have four league games to round off September and right now, three of their four opponents are in the bottom half of the Championship table, this is a month of opportunity for them.

Middlesbrough Can Edge Clash of the Championship Big Guns
There are many teams fighting for promotion from the Championship this season and two of them are Middlesbrough and West Brom. Both are ex-Premier League clubs who are trying to get back into the big time, with West Brom having their first year down in the Championship after relegation last season. Both have spent big this summer in an attempt to get back into the big time, and anything other than a top six finish would probably be seen as a disappointment for them.
